i would like to place Donation boxes on friends land to raise money for epilepsy reseach uk. do i need linden lab permission to this this?

It is always better to be LL approved. If I were you, I would IM one the Lindens before starting anything. (Lexie Linden and Amanda Linden are really cool and understanting persons).

I think that's a great idea.  I also think that you should be sure that the epilepsy foundation that you are hoping to raise money for knows that you are doing it.  It could be terribly embarrassing for a charitable foundation to find out that someone had been collecting money on their behalf and had somehow misrepresented them unknowingly.  Organizations usually have to obey faily strict rules about how and where they solicit, and have to meet governmental reporting requirements to keep their legal status clean.  To protect yourself and the organization that you feel strongly about, keep them informed from the beginning and get their advice about how you can work together.

But in my opinion you SHOULD have the permission of Epilepsy Research. But you DON'T NEED the permission of Epilepsy Research.
