help please it wont run

everytime i download the software i try to open it, it takes about five sec then a box will come up saying it has stop working either i can close it or find out the problem then close Please Help....and no it is not blocked by firewall

An alternate answer might be a problem with the software/computer match up.  The browser is a big file and it will require a computer that can run the program.  It simply has to be beefy enough to do it.    A more easily fixed scenerio would be when you have downloaded a viewer that was not ment for your computer's operating system.  In that case you would revisit the download page and look for the right download for your operating system.     Sometimes V1 Second Life viewer is the only one that will work when a computer is an older model.  I enjoy Phoenix myself, but I love the old V1 very much as well.
