KattKel
Hey All I've been renting multiple properties and thinking it might be easier to just buy land outright. Besides the auctions and buying a full region--what other options are there? Guidance appreciated..a little lost on where to start Thanks!

You can also bring up search and search for land to buy - sort by L$ per sqm or by parcel size, etc... You can also try to find some abandoned land -- owner by Governor Linden. If it isn't a high value piece -- next to water, etc... - you can put in a ticket to LL, specifying the exact coordinates and they will often set it to sale for you for L$1 per sqm. They will even cut up larger pieces to your specifications. There is also the forum dedicated to Mainland parcels: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/286-parcels-for-sale-mainland/ Side note -- you will need to be Premium to buy Mainland. Though you can buy a private region without being Premium. Also note that any "buying" that consists of paying a weekly price to someone other than LL, is really still renting. You just get more land privileges than with a typical mainland rental.

It can be a little tricky to get to the land interface of Search. A place to get started might be:https://search.secondlife.com/?query_term=&collection_chosen=land&isLeftColOpen=true&sort=land_sqm_asc&purchase_type=Sale&type=main_fullregion and then adjust the filters in the left column and control the sort order with the column headings. That URL is more or less what you get by making these two selections on the top level Search window: [arggggh! how to rid a post of an image attachment once it's uploaded? please ignore the following, uncropped version of the above] Edited March 21, 2021 by Qie Niangao

Given how screwed up the web search is for People and Places right now, the Legacy Land search might be better anyway.
