You are welcome. Just the truth Charolotte. :) You can use also Google translator to check it out, typing in english dream and translating it in traditional chinese.

Japanese kanji were imported from china during the Heian period (IIRC).  So yes, they look virtually identical.

 

That kanji is , which can be pronounced as either "mu" (む) or as "yume" (ゆめ, pronounced "yuu-meh") in japanese.  It means "a dream, a vision, or an illusion."
