Avatar texture band on neck-how to fix it?

I have mesh body Maitreya and Logo Chelsea head, bakes on mesh, and when I apply any skin textures I get a band on the avatar neck. I am wearing nothing on my neck that would create this band. Anyone know how to fix it so that it goes away?

This looks like Maitreya's Neck Fix/skin blender. It's meant to help conceal the seam.

In your Maitreya HUD, go to the skin/base tab and make sure "neck fix" on the bottom is unchecked(or greyed out).

Yeah, those "seam blenders" typically look worse than the seams. This is because they rely on blended alpha textures, which do not render properly under local lighting.
