How to view the correct usename?

I have to make a list of usernames to put in the contents of my item. It's important these are the correct usernames, this means also with uppercases in place. I can click on some one's profile to see their username, but it will not show me the uppercases. Does anybody know a clever way of doing this? Thanks.

Because people can now change their usernames, you should use UUIDs in scripts to identify people

What Lindal said -- use UUIDs and if you need the actual name, use the scripting function to get the name from the UUID.
