Question

I began having an issue with constant disconnects last month after installing a new modem.   No rhyme or reason to the issue.  Everything was working perfectly one minute, and the next I was being disconnected after just a couple of minutes.  Here is the thread to that issue if you'd like to read.  There could be a correlation I guess between the two issues.

For some reason, on Saturday, SL just decided to start working again.  There are still a few disconnects, but for the most part I was able to stay connected.

I did notice though, that opening Chrome makes SL very unsteady.  My numbers will be within normal range (Packet Loss and Ping Sim) but as soon as I open Chrome, the ping goes through the roof.  If I close the browser, the number will drop back to normal range, but if I don't close, I will be disconnected.

I don't feel it's a memory issue, unless there is something in background eating it up.  I have a new gaming laptop, so I should be good to have Firestorm and Chrome open simultaneously.

Any ideas?  (I"m not sure what information you will need, but I'll start with this)
