Script Removal

I received a ring, but it has scripts that come up in local chat - its a wedding ring, how do i stop the messages from coming up in local chat, ie. Will u marry me online. JD.

Edit the script in it to say "I married another, sorry JD "

OK a more serious approach: just drop the script unless it needs them to show something else (like custom writing on it). You can do so even in "no mod" items, by rezzing them to the ground and deleting the script (if it is also "no copy" be careful though, might poof on rezzing)

Very important point. You can avoid that by rezzing it in a no script sandbox. You probably want to do this in a sandbox rather than at your own home anyway. When you work on small items that are easily lost, autoreturn is you best friend.
