Amirah Kazan
Hi,I've been trying off and on for several hours to put my land up for sale. When I click the 'Set Land for Sale" button, nothing happens. It doesn't even look like it clicks in, even though it is not greyed out as it would be if I didn't answer the questions regarding the sale. However, the Cancel button right beside it works every time.Is anyone else having this problem?I would appreciate any help I can get.
Identity Euler
What SL viewer do you use?
Amirah Kazan
Hmm....I am trying to find where it would give my viewer version. I've been away for a few years, actually, only popping in a bit once every 6 months or so, and when I logged in a few days ago, I had to download the most recent viewer. Amirah Kazan
2.6.2.225998 is the version number. Although, someone just told me online that selling is disabled and the land has no value anymore, and that I need to abandon it if I want to get rid of the monthly tier? Is that true? Since I'm now coming back to vitual worlds after I finally have room for it in my life again, knowing would help me decided whether to stay or move on. There are other virtual worlds out now and more to choose from. I've loved that Second Life is more advanced and so many creative people have made so many beautiful and interesting things there. But even those of us who are there to relax and aren't running or working a business still invest money into the whole thing. I buy TONS of things, but I don't want to buy more things in a system whose economy is going into the tank and may not even exist much longer. Anyone know? Identity Euler
Is your land on mainland? There is going to be a change described here. This can have an influence on the prices in future. If you have premium account you can contact with support and ask what can be the reason. If the land is in private estate ask the owner. Virtual worlds are changing all the time, there is no ceteris partibus in this case. The best is to analyse facts. Keep an eye on land blog posts. Amirah Kazan
Yes, I have a premium account and it is mainland. The article doesn't mention not being able to sell your own land, so I suppose it would be best if I contacted support. Thank you for your help. Anita61 Anatine
arent' you in basic mode? Check on logging in that you are using advanced, so everything in the viewer is available
Identity Euler
You may also try to clear cache and relog before you contact support to check if for sure it is not viewer issue.
Uriah Eulenberg
Are you on Mac? Try Tab key on your keyboard. You can highlight the "set land for sale" button by pressing Tab key repeatedly. Once it's highlighted, press in by hitting Return/Enter key.
Amirah Kazan
Thanks for all the good answers! I finally downloaded the Phoenix viewer, went in and put the land up for sale, then logged out. Then today, after getting notice of an update to the SL viewer and doing the update, it all seems to work again. I didn't really like the Phoenix viewer because my avatar showed up with a big nose and no matter how many times I put on my shape and skin, it wouldn't change! ~laughs~ So, it was a viewer problem, after all. Again, thank you for all the help.
