Is Bento Mesh Only Just Beginning?

Do not know if  this has already been explained or discussed before, but I do not understand why they have only come out with bento heads and hands but not bento mesh bodies and clothes?And they do have some hair but it is not really that customizeable.  It would be nice to finally be able to customize the size of the mesh clothes with sliders and to customize a mesh body and have better  full body animations to  create a more natural realistic look.  Now that we have the bento mesh heads are full  bento mesh bodies and clothes also on the horizen soon?

I'm afraid not. Nothing in bento was aimed at any of that. It only added bones for more limbs, facial expressions and well.. fingers.

Thank you for your reply to me. You did mentijon limbs . Does that include knees and elbows and not just hands?

No, it's intended for extra hind legs, but I've seen people already using it for things like extra arms. Aii actually has done some nice work using the hind leg and wing bones to create two sets of extra arms you can wear to be a 6 armed avi!

Custom mesh bodies like SLink and others are all rigged to the collision bones making them Fitted Mesh.  Clothes rigged to the same weights as the custom mesh avatar will change shape in the same way the custom mesh body.  So if you wear a Bento head with the custom mesh body and wear clothes designed and weighted for that custom mesh body you have what you are looking for.

Now if a custom mesh body designer wants to use a few Bento bones for knees and elbows they can.  Nothing is stopping them from doing that.  It is just if they do they then have to create all the animations for their mesh body too.  Because of this you probably won't see many if any custom avatars using Bento bones for knees and elbows but it can be done right now.

Medhue has made a video showing how Bento bones can be used in other places.  In this video he shows how he uses Bento bones that are not necessarily directly connected with each other to act as if they are connected using animations.  Elephant  Animation Video
