Hello,

i'm a premium user & want to rent my land/home place at a decent price because i just moved with someone at a bigger place & this would be a waste to not be used.

The prims that can be used are 175 & the price i ask per week is 100L$.

Against the rules perhaps?   :D  I have to admit it seems vague but I have never heard of anyone renting out their Linden home.

I am betting a LINDEN can tell us. It might also have more in the Covenant but I am not heading over to investigate. You could certainly get rid of your Linden home and then buy a 512 on the mainland and rent THAT out.

Hi & thx for the info!

Is only for residential use of course & anyone who needs a place to stay is welcome.

Group-owned i think is something else, like when peoples pay money for the land, then they sell it, land it's not deed to group or other stuffs like this so yeah.

Well like a premium user i am, this is a thing i pay for with my real money so i don't see why can't offer a place to stay to someone else if i do not use it!

To not mention that the other premium benefits are like really low, almost non-existent in SL, i'm a gamer and Linden have lowest, worse premium membership benefits ever!

Update, after i found this:

Renting land on the mainland?

You may have heard that some Residents offer land for rent on the mainland, which works differently in some regards. One big difference is that you don't do the act of buying a parcel (which shows you as the parcel owner in ABOUT LAND - GENERAL as described above). instead, you might be offered to join a group which gives you the permission to place objects on a designated parcel with your group tag.

This arrangement is common in many mainland malls, where stalls are rented out (and there may be advertisements for such an arrangement). A similar pattern can be found in cottages, hotels, and other destinations.

Remember that the above, for simplicity's sake, describes some of the many possibilities that exist and continue to grow. Consult specific situations to get accurate details."

I don't see where it's say is forbidden, anyway, is good to investigate a lil bit and find out more from time to time :D

Linden Homes are not the same as renting out purchased mainland (which I did mention you could do). You never actually "buy" Linden Homes and they come with a bonus feature in that the house is free from counting against your 175 prims. So what you are planning on doing is not really what you are quoting. :D

I think the only way we will get a DEFINITIVE answer is if a Linden replies OR if they actually state something on the info page (which would be a good idea).

Also, depending on how much land you purchased (if it was mainland) giving up your Linden home "could" reduce your tier payment. So you might want to check that out in the web backend LAND area :D.  If it is private land you "bought" then this doesn't apply of course.

I searched for more info about this and all i find is not so good, relevant info.

Them so called official pages still show 117 prims, are not even updated so no idea what to believe about this when they do not care to update the info rofl.

But yeah, i will try get a answer from Live chat in few and will come here after to update info.

UPDATE:

After conversation with support, it been clarified that which is called a "Linden home" you can't rent, buy & sell. You have to abandon it and find another land with the same area which you can do almost whatever you want with it. After this, i can see why most of mainland is empty and looks like a desert, it's sad what Linden impose to users with them lame policy in 2017 to. So many restrictions which is make it clear why there is so much abandoned land, is only Linden fault and them "management" if can call it so.

So yeah, it looks like i have to waste more time looking for a land which to replace this stupid Linden home... bleh.

Might worth or not, all i wanted to do is do give the chance to someone to have a low price home but sadly i can't do any goods because Linden rules...

One thing i forgot to ask the support, who is checking if someone brake this lame rules? Because i believe there isn't a employe checking each Linden home just to see who is living there, if is the owner or not & asking resident who's living there if they pay rent, and so on... I guess is all about reports made by the no-life police forums and only then Linden start to investigate.

Anyway! Thank you Aeon for making me look into this & find out what i need to do step by step if i want to rent my premium place.
