Question

Whatever hair I wear looks dirty and unwashed. How do I get it back to normal? Its like there is an invisible attachment which makes it look wrong. The inventory looks ok..

I`m tempted to say wash your hair hehe :D

Do you have a pic of what you are referring to? You can upload one to your profile here or to another site such as flickr or photobucket and use Options > Edit to add the link to your original post.

If this is a recent problem and you are seeing things differently to how they looked before, try messing the various settings in your graphics preferences.

If it is something else, we would really need to see a pic to be able to tell what the problem is.

If you are using Viewer 2 and on Low graphics setting, hair does indeed looks weird. You need to either use Mid Graphics setting or if you need to use Low, move the Objects mesh detail slider up a couple of notches. Access this slider via Preferences > Graphics > Advanced Button and you will see the Mesh sliders. Your hair should then look right. :smileyhappy:

They don`t look tragic, the first one looks like it could benefit from having fullbright switched off or on, depending which way it is now & I can`t see much wrong with the 3rd one.

The 2nd one, is that long hair that is hanging into your avatar`s shoulders? Because the bottom of that one doesn`t look great, but there are a couple of other things in that pic that don`t look right either, like that thing in the background and the strange blue shape on the ground. Go to your debug menu and type in RenderVolumeLODFactor & increase the number to at least 4 and in your preferences > graphics hardware, disable the VBO. See if that makes things look any better.
