Actually, it sounds like you chose Best Buy (limit buy), the right column, rather than Instant Buy (Market Buy), the left column. You won't get your Lindens until some is willing to sell for what you are offering. Depending on the amount, you could never get the Lindens. 

Best bet, if you did choose Best Buy, is to cancel the order. Your cash will go under you US dollar balance. You can then go into the Instant buy, the one on the left of the page, not the right. The money will be taken from you US balance.
