You mean that you actually had them sent to a completely different person?  Not likely.  That person has received them as a gift and is probably glad to have them.  They are almost certainly non-transferable, so he couldn't send them to you or your intended recipient if he wanted to.  The merchant has received his payment and Marketplace has delivered them to the correct address that you gave.  You can always ask the merchant if he's willing to send second copies to somebody else, but don't be terribly surprised if he says no.

Given the accounts have almost the same name and both have a very empty profile...

I have been around SL for a long time... the thought comes to mind that these are alt accounts with the same "owner".

Your gift is likely received by the right person, just on an alt account.
