Missing Phone

Nobody here would have the faintest idea.  The "phone" is not part of the normal SL viewer's interface.  It is a HUD that was created by someone else -- probably a professor or a group member that you are working with.  You will have to ask that person where it went, and whether you may have another one.

Before you do that, you might want to take a look in your inventory to see whether it's there.  You may have just detached it.

There has been another guy who came here some time ago asking a similar question...and he mentioned to be send by his professor for some classes into Second Life. Is that the case for you as well?

Because there is no phone button in the interface of the official viewer, so it must be some kind of custom HUD and we can't help with that.
