0 Bobbie Faulds
It's just a reminder. Browsers are different than the viewer. Most browsers, ie IE, Chrome, Mozilla, Safari, are all compatible. Just be sure you have the most recent version of the browser and the viewer, IE SL standard viewer/Firestorm.

0 Rolig Loon
Aha! This is a different problem from the one you mentioned in your other thread. If your viewer is having trouble with capabilities, you have an Internet connection issue. Capabilities are the permissions you need in order to access your inventory, your friends list, your group list, and a number of other databases in world. Without those, you cannot log in. You almost certainly have enough bandwidth. That's rarely a problem. Instead, you have an unreliable or unstable connection. If you have been using wireless, don't. Plenty of people have no trouble at all with wifi in SL, but it is neither resommended nor supported by Linden Lab. Use a direct cable or DSL connection instead. Then reboot both your modem and your router and then restart your computer. That will help the machine get a firmer connection to an IP address and clear cobwebs out of their RAM.
