why can't I buy less than $20 worth of London?

I think it's because the British use pounds and pence, not dollars.

(By the way, it's "Linden Dollars", also called "lindens" and abbreviated as "$L".  London is that town in England with the big clock.)

I don't think not being American has anything to do with it -- I'm a Brit, and those images are what I see. Also, LL have always changed me in US$, and PayPal (in my case) converts the charge to £1, and takes that from my PayPal balance or, if the balance is insufficient,, from my bank account.
