That's not a viewer problem.  It's possible that the servers are having problems in world, although I haven't seen anything posted on the official status blog (yet).  It could also be a problem with that particular group gift vendor.

Besides looking in your Objects folder for your group gift, sometimes they make their own top-level folder in your inventory.  Look for a folder with the item's name on it.

Otherwise, either

  1. Cultivate patience, and try again a little later, or
  2. Try rebooting your internet modem/router and log in again.

Hi Tina,

I'll just make a wild guess, building off Lindal's theories. If I suppose that your local inventory cache got corrupted, it's possible that more than just your recent purchases are missing. You may not have noticed that because you weren't looking to see if your existing stuff is still there. If you did not do a clean install, the inventory cache would remain, and remain corrupted.

So, go to a quite region like Smith or Pooley and clear your inventory cache (Preference->Network & Files->Directorys, click "Clear Inventory Cache"). Then search for anything in inventory,. That will force a cache reload. Don't teleport anywhere until your inventory is completely loaded. Then check for your missing things. If they're still missing, yet you see them in your transaction history, it may be time to open a support case here...

And, if flushing inventory cache does fix the problem, the cache corruption may have been caused by an iffy connection between your viewer and SL (though that connection is becoming more robust with each viewer update). Here's a page that has lots of ideas for improving that connection...

Good luck!
