i have a ault ,i never use, and would like to redo her, i have 4 others so i cannot get a fifth till i delete this one

Hi tinti,

If you have a basic account, there may be no reason to delete your avatar. You can just walk away from it and come back anytime in the future. It'll still be there and costs you nothing. Re-instating a cancelled account costs $9.95.

What level of "delete" do you want?

Tired of playing?  Angry and want to go away?  Just walk away.  Close SL and delete it from your computer.

 

There is also the level of deleting the account but all it takes is a support ticket (and ten bucks) to get it back.] even years later.

 

If you really want to permi-delete the account:

• Make a random 12 character string.  You can look up random string creators on google or just type some letters in notepad.  ke8kdh35nzs.  When done, highlight and copy the string.
• Create a gmail account with chat string as the account name  Use the same string as the gmail account's password..
• Change your SL account to use the created gmail account.
• Change your SL account password to use the 12 character string.
• Delete the SL account as shown above.
• Delete the gmail account.
• Delete the SL client.
• Delete the 12 character string.
• Reboot or otherwise clear the string from the clipboard.
• Fini.  That bridge is now well and completely burned.

 

Having experienced each of these before I will HIGHLY recommended the walk away method.  It costs nothing and you will lose nothing.
