Private estates are limited to 100. I've never seen an estate get close to that before crashing or becoming so lagtastic people start leaving.

Strictly speaking, an "estate" can be one or more private regions.  Some estates consist of literally hundreds of regions!

I think you meant, "how many avatars can fit on a full private region?" and Maddy is correct...100 avatars maximum, but it gets really laggy at anything much over 30 or so.
