IxDarkBeatzxI Posted January 1, 2016 Share Posted January 1, 2016 Hello everyone id like to know if anyone else is experienceing problems with second life cause me and my fiancee are not able to log into second life at all everytime we try to it says that despite our best efforts it cant connect or w.e so im just wondering if second life is down or not? Canoro Philipp Posted January 1, 2016 Share Posted January 1, 2016 it usually happens when Linden Lab servers are having problems, try restarting your modem, turn it off for about 20 seconds then turn it on again. that may refresh the connection between Linden Lab and your modem. "Updating Friends List" has been causing log in problems this week for a number of people. It only affects certain avatars. You may be able to log in using an Alt. Best advice is for you to file a support ticket with Linden Lab, giving as much info as possible (what viewer and version, what location in Second Life, and which accounts are affected and which are not). File a support case here...https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ Select "Account Issue" from the first drop-down and "Second Life Viewer Login Issues" from the second. Fill in the required information and copy/paste the following text...Login failed. Updating friends list. Note: many others are having this same problem. Whirly Fizzle Posted January 2, 2016 Share Posted January 2, 2016 There are a lot of people having this new "Updating friends list..." login failure, which seemed to start last Tuesday. Noone seems to know what's causing the problem yet. It's account specific and affected accounts cannot login on any viewer. Whatever is wrong it appears to be something wrong with those accounts at the back end to do with a transform being run on those accounts which is failing with a parsing error. Affected accounts cannot be logged in on any system. All the JIRA issues & forum reports about this problem have been linked to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-11032 From the feedback people have given from their support tickets, support don't seem to realise there is a problem yet.
