I have recently downloaded a new sl viewer and am get error messages for the following. ssleay32.dll

I get a login failure when SL in loading my friends list. Can you tell me why. This problem just started recently and I have used SL since last summer.

It sounds like your downloaded copy was damaged. Do a CLEAN download and reinstall, deleting all hidden files. You'll find instructions in the Knowledge Base article on How to Uninstall and Reinstall Second Life.

Perform a clean boot:

Run sfc /scannow:

Then reinstall the SL Viewer.
