can you semd a gift to a non-friend

i have been trying to send someone i kno a gift but i cant find the transaction. Do u have to be friends to do this?

No, you can send a gift to anyone --- even me.  :smileywink:

If you are sending a gift from Marketplace, be sure that you follow instructions >>> https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Shopping-in-the-Second-Life-Marketplace/ta-p/700189#Section_.1.3.2  .  If you are sending a gift from your inventory, be sure that you have transfer permission, then simply drag/drop the item from your inventory into an IM to the person.
