Can't get rid of hair under the Mesh hair

You should be able to find a bald cap (or "bald base") with the hair you bought or with some other hair in your inventory.  (if nothing else, there are a few in your Library >>> Clothing folder.  Type "bald" to search for them in your Inventory.) Wear it to cover your default "helmet hair".
