Nightlime

Hi! I've been applying a mesh body for the first time and it's finally going alright but when I'm adding my mesh hair there is still this flat, black hair under it that I can't get rid of. The hair looks great otherwise, I've applied the alpha and everything, Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks!
