keeping environment settings in sl viewer (v.3.8.6)

Hi Shandarra,

The default viewer behavior changed a few months ago. To go back to the sticky environment settings you want, you must set the debug setting EnvironmentPersistAcrossLogin to TRUE.

It's there, I just tested it...



Select "Show Debug Settings" from the Advanced menu, then start typing "environmentPersistAcrossLogin. Autocomplete will find the setting within the first few keystrokes. Then click "TRUE" and close the window.

ok, I found the setting, however, I jsut rebooted sl & it didn't keep...

Hmm, I just changed that setting in both the official SL viewer and in Firestorm. Both settings survived a reboot. Perhaps your viewer has been corrupted? Before you do a clean install, try downloading an alternate viewer, like Firestorm. If the setting stays in one viewer, but not the other, it's time to re-install the misbehaving viewer. You'll find a list of alternate viewers here...
