Cant get my model to work

I bought a furry model and it shows as a orange box (im new) same for another one when I attach it it shows as a giant box on me how do I fix this :matte-motes-crying:

Welcome to Second Life.  We have all done this.

Some things are like boxes and contain all the items within them.  You need to res the box.  Drag the box from your inventory to the ground.  Give it a few seconds until you can see it clearly and then right-click and pick Open from the menu.  From there click the button that says "Copy to Inventory"

As a fun bit of trivia, when SL 1st can out the default location for wearing an item was attached to the skull.  It was changed to the right hand about 4 years later (I am probably way off on the date, but that's not the point anyway)

 

Anyway, you can tell who the old players are when they tell stories about wearing a box on their head.
