Alwin Alcott
i'm very sorry, but if you aren't able to see the language button you really should go see a dr
valerie Inshan
Haha ! je jure que ce n'est pas de ma faute !!! Benson, clear your browser's cache, quit and relog to the MP. You should now be able to switch languages at the top left of the screen.
Vulpinus
You're lucky, I got Portuguese last time. Seems to happen regularly when I click on people's links to the marketplace from group chat. I just hit the language button in the corner and put it back to English/US (which isn't really what I speak, but it's close enough). Seems fine afterwards, until I click another link. Some particularly tech-unsavvy merchants copy ?lang=<lang> into their Marketplace URIs. It's not necessary and never has been necessary. Either way you do this to yourself by following these poorly constructed links.

valerie Inshan
This is the General Discussion forum, Alwin. There is nothing in the community guidelines saying that you can't post in another language than English. Too bad my Swahili, Tagalog and Yoruba are so poor.... It's quicker to just click the link and put it back to English than it is to check and edit the link, I do make sure the link really does go to the MP before I click it though. Sassy Romano
Equally as bad is the retarded language handling logic per this JIRA https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-4576 18 months old, low hanging fruit, filed in the "couldn't give a potty" basket. Sassy Romano
Your JIRA Fu is weak today. Resolved, fix version NONE. Status "Accepted" In other words, closed, couldn't give a rats "like a" donkey about it being a problem, not fixed, won't fix. Move along, LL doesn't care that it's an annoying behaviour. No, my fu is as strong as it ever was. I do know the difference between "Resolved" and "Solved" . . . . . . even if LL doesn't!
Sassy Romano
My point being that regardless of any status on the JIRA, the behaviour still exists, it has not been corrected so the behaviour mentioned by the OP still relates to the JIRA concerned One could have a field day changing the text strings in the JIRA configuration:- Open: We haven't bothered looking yet Accepted: We haven't finished lunch yet Updated: Someone touched a button by mistake No fix: We finished lunch Resolved: Coffee break time Closed: It's home time
