0 Madelaine McMasters
Hi Zylona, The "root" prim of a linkset is the last one selected during the linking process. If you have an already linked object and you want to switch the root prim, select it for editing, then select "Unlink" from the Build menu. Then shift-click the prim you want to be root, that'll remove it from the linkset. Now, shift-click it again. That'll add it back in, and it'll be the last one linked. Select "Link" from the Build menu and you're done. Here's more about linking/unlinking... http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Link Have fun!
0 Lindal Kidd
A fast way to select the right prim to be the root prim: 1. Select any prim of the bunch. 2. SHIFT+drag a selection box around the bunch, selecting them all. 3. SHIFT+click the prim you want to make the root prim, deselecting it. While still holding SHIFT, click it again to re-select it. Now all the prims are selected, and the prim you want to be the root was the last one selected. 4. Use Build/Link or CTRL+L to link 'em up.
