Question

My machine is no longer capable of running SL.

I'm rather cheesed at that to be frank. When i started i could run the program to an acceptable manner but now...... bupkiss.

The truly annoying thing is that i was in the middle of some rather important technical conversations when the system upgraded beyond my abilities.

How do i get back to the people i was talking to?

I reviewed the technical specs that you posted in an earlier thread.  It's a wonder that you could ever log in on a machine that is so underpowered.  Compare with the system requirements at https://secondlife.com/support/system-requirements/ .

You can exchange private messages here in the forums.  If you have RL contact information, you can also use e-mail, Skype chat, or other standard messaging systems.  There is no way to send a message to someone in SL, but you can reply to an e-mail that they send you from in world (as long as you reply within 5 days, before the temporary e-mail address goes stale). To receive their messages by e-mail, you must have first set your account to forwrd IMs to e-mail (on your dashboard at secondlife.com >>> Account >>> Contact Information )

If you want to provide extra information or need to clarify your question, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do not start a new thread. Doing that makes it hard for us to see what other people have already suggested, and it pushes other residents' questions off the page.
