Question

I will be moving to a location that may not have DSL or Cable.

Wanted to still be able to access Second life.

I live in Baltimore city and the Sprint Overdrive hotspot by sierra mobile can do 4G?

Would that work

thanks

Yes it will work.  I have accessed SL on the road through 3G.  But be warned, unless you have a high connection speed (like say > 500KB/s), SL will rez like molasses.

Also some of these plans have monthly data limits that are not very generous when you factor in the use of a data hungry program like SL.  So read the fine print...

Good luck.

If you need to access SL for work or something but don`t always need the the full graphics version, using a viewer such as Radegast allows you to do just about everything in SL except "see" it & the saving on resources by not running graphics could make it a lot easier to get things done than to load the full program and be stuck in uber lag.  I often use it to log in & deal with customer enquiries.
