Question

Информация по домену MARKMONITOR INC. 216.239.32.21 monitoring Linden Labs

Reasearch/marketing studies allowed by Linden
Labs is a Russian company called:Информация по домену

MARKMONITOR INC. 216.239.32.21 may be used in postings

Market Monitor is not only colloecting data on avi's in the sim but also off

the computers they are allowed on.

I suggest that everyone be told to put the IP address of Marketmonitor INC. on
the NOT_Allowed Host list.

With an average of 55,000 logins at anyone time, information gathered on us
here and on the sim is enormous. It can be seen if one does a netstat -a in a
command-line.

Make no mistake, we are being monitored. These Are Russiand people.
Who will be collecting next.

... Too Funny. Have you been a detective for very long? Can you even read Russian? Информация по домену means "Information on the domain"...

Congratulations, you've discovered:

and

Yes, the nefarious "American Companies" and data aggregators Google and ServiceMark Protection Service, MarkMonitor. I'm pretty sure we all know who Google Inc. is. MarkMonitor, develops and markets brand protection software and services to combat counterfeiting, piracy, cybersquatting and paid search scams in four categories; domain management, antifraud software, brand protection and antipiracy. The "Idaho Statesman" reports that "MarkMonitor safeguards more than half of the Fortune 100 brands". MarkMonitor provides services to Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Badoo, among others.

You can hide but you'll be found. The evil corporations are out there and not going away!

Using a Russian Whois Database Lookup Service makes it even more nefarious when used as evidence in a post. Try an English Whois service next time...

The next time you run a [ netstat -a ] make sure you have uninstalled Google Chrome and it's always on system tray utility since it utilizes the "evil" services of the Google Search company and you will see the active and open TCP links to Google. Try using a [ netstat -f ] next time and all the names are resolved for you so you don't have to use a Russian Whois lookup service.  OMG Who Knew?

P.S. Most of us only dream of a future where Linden Lab leases one of the wonderful Google Search Appliance Services. Imagine being able to actually find what you need in SecondLife!

P.S.S. BTW - The open ports that our PCs are using are not visible to Google or the MarkMonitor companies. They would have to install a Trojan Horse on our PCs to have this information sent to them. Most Anti-Malware software would detect this activity using the hieuristics detection logic. Remember, Google's Chrome runs in a virtual sandbox of sorts, unless you say yes to an install prompt for downloaded software.
