0 Irene Muni
I don't know if I understand correctly your question. You must purchase objects or use free items, "freebies". You can shopping inworld and/or in the Marketplace (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/). What objects? The objects that you want or need In any case, the sum of the prims of those objects can not exceed of 117.
0 Peewee Musytari
If you suck at decorating, you can always hire a decorator. Look around at other Linden homes that are well decorated....Preferably not while there is someone at home lol...Then check the owners Profile. I have seen some that are extremely well done and their owners have messages on their profiles saying that they are available as interior designers for other homes
0 Jessika Rang
/me laughs... now here is a question that is right up my alley! First you have to be aware of prim counts. Linden Homes allow 117 prims. Everything in SL is made of prims so you will need to shop for "low prim" furniture. Low prim used to mean pretty ugly but these days with Sculptie prims you can get decent chairs and sofas that are only a couple of prims each. Accessories really personalize a home. Things like area rugs and artwork can be purchased but you can also make your own rather easily. For instance you can take a picture of a rug or piece of art in your RL home, upload it to SL then rez a cube and drag your picture onto it. stretch the prim until it looks right to you and then position it on the wall or floor. Note that you can also purchase textures (on sl or the internet) and use them for rugs or artwork... and many other things. You can also use textures in your inventory library (I still sometimes use "grass" area rugs just for fun). Shopping for your home is fun... check out the "Home and Garden" section of the SL Marketplace and start reading some of the Home and Garden Blogs, here are some links: http://primperfectblog.wordpress.com/ http://secondspaces.wordpress.com/ Have fun! 0 Saffia Widdershins
We run a regular monthly feature in Prim Perfect magazine where we ask top designers to decorate a Linden Home with only 117 prims. We've also interviewed readers who have created interesting Linden Homes. And we created a Linden Homes special based on the first few months we ran this feature,, which you can read online or get (for free) from the Marketplace to read inworld. We're also had exhibitions on furnishing Linden Homes at the Home and Garden Expos for the last two years. RThere are many, many ways that you can create interesting, well-furnished Linden Homes. Good luck!
