I just picked out my home but when I click on the button to go there nothing happens. How long does it take to be delivered?

Delivered?  Nothing is delivered.  If you're talking about a Linden Home, you should have received the address in an e-mail from Linden Lab.  Teleport to that address and your house will be waiting for you.  If you can't find the e-mail (check your spam filter, just in case ), the same information is in the Land Manager on your dashboard at secondlife.com.

If you want to provide extra information or need to clarify your question, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do not start a new thread. Doing that makes it hard for us to see what other people have already suggested, and it pushes other residents' questions off the page.

The HOME button or shortcut is used to be able to teleport to the home postion real quick (like you get griefed and want escape in no time). Usually that is set to some of the public Info Hubs on the mainland. As soon you have a home you can set to that spot. No matter if that is a Linden Home or some other land. Some newcomer friendly areas also offer "homespots",  but then you need to be a member of the group there.
