Hello Cynthia, if the camera control does not appear when you select it from the View Menu, see if it's disappeared off screen, by trying the suggestions in the Second Life Wiki KB article locate an off-screen HUD - Video Tutorial

If you want to reset to default settings, without uninstalling/reinstalling Second Life, you can log out of the Viewer and

.. moving all of your existing settings files to a different, temporary directory.  Next time Second Life starts, it will create a new, default set of settings files. Your settings files can be found in the following location:

* On Windows: C:\Documents and
  Settings\\Application Data\SecondLife\user_settings

* On Mac OSX: /Users//Library/Application Support/SecondLife/user_settings

Hope this helps

Well unless you recoded the UI the option to have your camera controls on screen is still there, and I just checked you cannot even slide them off the screen as you can with some huds (you can however slide them real close to the edge so check to see if you have done that). So I would suggest you relog in the first instance and see if that sorts it, failing that, uninstall and reinstall sl

Try running Second Life in Windowed mode (found in Preferences' Graphics tab) and try shrinking/stretching the window to see if that reveals the Camera Controls.

Also, deleting settings.xml (on Windows, find it easily with Everything) will reset positions of all tools, including Camera Controls — but backup your settings first!
