Hello, just created this account for this.

I recently changed my password and now i cant rember it. When attempting to recuperate I failed the security question several times and the account got set on hold.
I am still able to log in Second Life through the viewer as I left the login info saved.

I attempted sending an email using the same address from my account as "guest" adress and selecting "reactivate old account" as subject since it was the one closer to my problem.

There is no way to reactivate if you dont remember your password and the lost passwort doesnt work for you. Sorry

This is not the correct answer. You can still recover your account.

Please see Irene's answer to a similar question here:-

or Rolig's answer here:-

(ETA: Sorry, I updated the links)

Greetings,

I am slightly confused. You say your account has been put on hold, and yet you have been able to log into the viewer because the login information was saved?  If your account was placed on hold, you would not be able to log in.

However, what does sometimes happen when you change your password is that it takes up to 24 hours for the system to recognise your new password, and so you can usually log in using your old password.

I am confused.

(But Holger's reply is incorrect and Freya's advice is top notch.)

Good luck anyway ! :)

After failing my security qustion several times, I was told it would be put on hold. Then whenever I try to retrieve password and follow the link in the email.

"Your account is currently on hold. You will be redirected to submit a support case in 10 seconds. If you would like to sign in with a different Second Life account, please click Logout."

Not even logged in the website.

The password saved in the viewer is the same as the new password, I logged in shortly after the change with it. Still perfectly able to log in the viewer after a day.

Thanks for the links but seems all those are regarding rule violations or phising and I cant seem to find anything regarding restoration of accounts.

I havent recieved any email regarding the account being hold, checked the spam filter so nothing.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post.

Sorry, to clarify:-

You want to read this link

SL KB: Login failure - Section 3

And follow this advice, from Irene and Lindal:-

"submit a support ticket via the support portal. To help customer support determine what block has been placed and why, include in the ticket your Second Life account name and any Second Life accounts that log in from your location."

Past answers also tell me you might also want to have handy some government issued ID (passport, birth certificate) or a banking statement scanned in to send to LL for confirmation.
