how to see i cnt see nothing but grey and blue

since when i downloaded sli couldnt see anything but grey and white i dnt know if its the graphic if its the graphic i dnt know how to change the graphic. and usallly i never see the update button i try and try it never pop up

It sounds as if textures are not rezzing for you.  Until textures download to your viewer and are processed by your graphics card, all you'll see is gray shapes (and possibly blue sky and water).  You could have a slow Internet connection, but it's just as likely that you are using a computer that is not up to Second Life recommended standards.  Take a look >>> https://secondlife.com/support/system-requirements/

It's hard to guess any more than that without knowing more about your computer and Internet connection. If you want to provide extra information about exactly what kind of computer you have, what graphics card is in it, and how much memory is available in the system and on the graphics card, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do not start a new thread. Doing that makes it hard for us to see what other people have already suggested, and it pushes other residents' questions off the page.
