Hair removing itself, but visible to me.

The past few weeks, I have people tell me I'm bald, where my hair is not displayed though I can see it, and it's worn. I cannot detach or affect it at all, and they have screenshots of me bald. Inspecting shows no hair either. Relogging fixes it, and I can't figure out a pattern as to what's causing it to do this, other than maybe teleporting. I am at a loss. I have cleared cache, updated view to FS 64 bit, started with a brand new hair, dunno what else to try.

Try wareing a different bald. Go to your inventory and type 'bald' in the search box and then ware on that is differnt from the one that you are currently wearing.

We fixed a problem with a friend whose hair was visible both on her head AND by itself in another part of the sim. Was firestorm bridge problem. Might help with your issue. http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bridge_issues

Thanks for the posts. Per the different bald, I am wearing a "hide hair mesh" which without it, I have a weird slice of my forehead which overlaps the hair itself, and it's the only thing that keeps that weirdness at bay. I'll check the bridge also, as it does seem like either an issue with SL, or the viewer.

 

On a side note, I have RLV enabled, and my .body folder to keep stuff in place as my clothes get changed. I had mislabeled the hair, as well as I had both my hair and whiskers on the same location. I have corrected the hair folder label, and moved the whiskers to another spot. So far, no baldness. This was most likely a problem between the chair and keyboard, but will keep this up to date in case it happens to someone else and I can confirm it's fixed.

Happens to me from time to time, mostly it's a couple certain skirts I used to love wearing. And a jeweled belt that I love too. I see it, but it's 'broken' Noone else can see it and I can't detatch. Mostly happens when I've hopped several different sims that exchange servers (eg) main to letigre/bluesteel/youget the idea and back. Mostly what fixes it for me is just a quick relog. My bf has been my saving grace several times when we're club hopping or sim hopping for hunts. I'll lean over and look at his screen to see if all my stuff rezzed in and he does the same to me. I really don't like running around in just my undies. 

It's just something we've gotten used to over time.

Here's a horror story for you x3 Back when my bf and I first met, I had my own small parcel, I took over my neighbors parcel, and she came by to see what had been done to merge the two. Well she wasn't around for long, just kinda short and sweet 'yup, mmhmm' and was gone. I thought it a little strange, since we would usually yammer on to eachother for hours. Well, my bf got online and hopped over and immediately said 'Uhh, you're stark naked..' When to me I had this adorable outfit going on! .. I was mortified... >.< Just so you feel better about running around hairless

Ah-ha! Yes that's exactly what happens, it gets pointed out to me after some sim hopping. It happened again yesterday, so it isn't fixed by adjusting my RLV .body folders and such. Thank you for the story, that is great hehe! I'll just send an IM to the creator and see if they've actually heard of issues. *shrugs helplessly*

I haven't had anyone tell me I was bald over the past few days. In my #RLV\.Body(nostrip) folder, I had multiple attachments to my skull (hair, renamer, something else I forget), but I put the renamer on my mouth, moved the forgotten thing, and kept the hair on my skull, and this seems to have done the trick.
