I know their really bad. I also want the computer to be fast. I have a Dell Inspiron.. N4110. I want a better graphics card to take pictures for blogging. SweetArashi Posted December 21, 2013 Share Posted December 21, 2013 I used to use integrated graphics... But now I use graphics with their own RAM and have never looked back! SL now runs on high quality without a hitch [my wifi is a different issue however]! The quality is so much more noticable, not to mention your games will thank you! I have an HP Envy DV6 customized laptop with the Nividia 630m 1GB video card. If you like the HP, you can have a customized laptop for roughly the same price. VRprofessor Posted December 22, 2013 Share Posted December 22, 2013 I am a big fan of the intel HDxxxx graphics as a temporary measure in a desktop--buy a nice GPU a couple months after buying the desktop when your wallet has a chance to recover. But in a laptop, you have to buy the graphics card when you buy the computer--and the HD series is not a true graphics card. (I understand they are great for streaming video and such, but they are not for serious GPU use.) Find something with an NVidia 550m graphics card, or better (650m is better) and shop for a sale. It took me about a month to find the laptop I use....but it was worth the hunt. (graphics in mine is GT 550M which runs SL comfortably on medium settings. It will run High settings, but with soooo much heat I am afraid the whole system is going to burn up.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SweetArashi Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 That's actually pretty good. I'd go for 8 GB of RAM if you can, considering how resource intensive SL can be.
