"Login failed. Unable to connect to simulator" is what appears when I try to log on.

Question

Starting today, when I try to log on I get a prompt that states:  Login failed.  Unable to connect to simulator.  I have read what others have answered about this issue and when I logged off yesterday, I was not wearing any type of tag.  I have very few Groups that I belong to and the ones I am with I have been with them for quite a long time, so I cannot imagine that a tag I was wearing was somehow corrupt.  I use an Apple iMac and have never had any type of major issue before, so I am kind of concerned.  I do know that Rolling Restarts happend very recently and were finished yesterday.  I do hope someone can help me with this issue, I would hate to lose the one and only avatar I have had for 6 1/2 years and all the goodies that I have gotten for her.

Im dealing with the same issue. Im not a premium member and when i tried calling for support i clicked the number it asked me to and it said it was invalid. Seems secondlife isnt being very helpful on my end i seriously need the help and wish i had a solution for you. But as of now i myself am also trying to figure it out. Hope theres someone out there who can help us both with our issue!

Im having the same issue-

this solution has worked for me in the past

ok try this.....try logging a quiet region like pooley, smith, anzure or HOME....

 

if that doesnt work.....

try this- 

get on an alt (that is almost noob like)

Send something to yourself like a freebie/ lindens ifu have lindens to yourself (sometimes it seems you are  "ghosting" WITOUT the "ghosting part")

 

LOG back in (YES tags with strange letterings will aide to your problems) so there is nothing to do if u have an "invalid" tag on the acct you are having issues with....

 

CREATE a new acct TODAY....if nothing works.....its nothing to do with Rolling restarts...

LOG IN on the NEW acct....(send yourself something) Go to the MP and BUY a free item u can transfer and send it to the faulty acct...

TRY to be paitent if all else
