If you are getting some sort of message that says it does not recognize a URL that you have given it, then you really are trying to enter from your browser.   It IS possible to do that, but only after you have taught your browser how to recognize the peculiar format of URL ( a  SLURL) that Second Life uses for that backdoor entry.

HOWEVER .... SL is not a web-based program, so that is not the normal way to enter.  You log in by clicking the Login button on your viewer's login page and the viewer connects you directly.

Guh, not sure I have a record of this at the moment. Before you login though, make sure you have the latest version of Singularity.

If you can update your post to show the expected format of the URI, that'd be great. Copy from another entry on the Grid Manager list maybe.
