0 valerie Inshan
You can delete it from your own computer, but that person can keep the chat history on his side. There is no way to erase it if others keep them. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Text-chat-and-instant-messages/ta-p/700155#Section_.3.
0 Rolig Loon
I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. If you have saved chat hisory on your computer, you can delete it by going to the folder where you stored it. It should be in your AppData location. On my machine, for example, it is at C:/Users/My_Name/AppData/Roaming/Firestorm/rolig_loon (where My_Name is really my own RL name ). If you're using the V3 viewer, yours will say SecondLife instead of Firestorm. Anyway, in that folder, you will find any saved IMs with each av you have talked to. Just delete that particular av's folder. If you are asking how to keep from seeing what another person types in chat or IM, the easiest thing to do is to just ignore her. You could also mute her. If you're asking something entirely different, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question here and select EDIT to clarify your question. Please do not start a new thread. Doing that makes it hard for us to see what other people have already suggested, and it pushes other residents' questions off the page.
