If you mean Notices from the Groups you have joined do this:

1) Ctrl-Shift-G

2) Select each Group using the right mouse click and select the View Info option

3) Uncheck [  ] Receive Group Notices

4) Press the Save button

5) Repeat for each Group you are a member of...

Alerts are meant to ....um ....alert you about things you really need to be aware of, like your sim is about to go off line, or one of your objects has just been returned to Lost & Found.  It's not a good idea to ignore most of them.  However, if you open Preferences >>> Notifications >>> Alerts, you can turn off selected ones that you decide to do without.  For example, I have turned off the alert that tells me that I have uploaded something to Marketplace.
