I'm having problems tp'ing my bf recently as the icon is greyed out so I can't offer him a tp?

Just recently I have not been able to offer a tp to my bf. I've had not problems just clicking the tp icon previously so wonder why this is happening now. He's logged out and back in and so have I and that didnt help. Did we turn something on by mistake to cause this?

Any help would be appreciated..

and in addition: make sure you both are having the right profile settings, and also viewer preferences. (being shown 'online' to each other )

https://my.secondlife.com/settings/friends (or just ingame) make sure you are shown online to one another.

Sometimes the online-status just lags a bit, and you are already writing with a person but the database still thinks that person is offline, which leads to you not being able to offer teleports. It mostly vanishes / is fixed as soon as the server databases are on track again. If it keeps doing so for longer a cache-cleaning (me-preferences-advanced) also can help to refresh your status.
