Is There Any Disadvantage to Deeding Objects to a Group I Own?

Question

I own a group that owns the land my house is on.  I want to have more granular control over who can do what with objects than the granting others the ability to modify my objects gives me.  If I deed some objects to the group and give some roles the ability to modify group-owned objects, they won't be able to modify the rest of my stuff, which would seem to accomplish what I wish.

Are there any problems with this?

The only problem I can see might arise if you had a group co-owner who could sell off your deeded items.  The only person you know you can trust as a co-owner is your own alt.  Sadly, a partner or best friend can be tomorrow's nightmare, since there's no way to force a co-owner to leave the group.
