Adult rated group?

Someone told me I could have one of my groups rated as adult.

Can this be done and does anyone know how to go about it?

The rating is selected during the creation process for a new group.  See this link for how to do this.

Adult isn't an option when creating a group, only mature and PG.

I think groups get rated adult if their content is clearly adult. Depending on picture and description text.

Correct. The mature flag is a vestige from the old system. Currently a group gets an adult rating from its name and the words in its charter. If there is a naughty word in there, or one that LL decided belongs to an adult topic, it happens automatically.

It's automatic, but it can take the search system a long time to catch up with changes. I see a "rise" group you made that is showing in search with the adult rating now.
