A profile pic is a texture.  If you have a texture in the proper format and size, it doesn't matter whether it's a photo of you, your cat, or your Dad's 1963 Pontiac.  The only thing you can't do is post an image that is X-rated.

Ok what I am trying to say is when I go to change my profile picture...the menu for my textures does not show...Idk if it is the viewer or the fact the picture I'm trying to use can't be modified

Really? If I right click on my profile pic in world, the texture picker window opens up so I can choose any texture in my inventory.

That's very odd. Can you just drag/drop a texture in there from your inventory? I can. I just did it, in fact.

Have you tried changing the image in your web profile instead? Go to my.secondlife.com/EpiphanyxRain, then click Edit Profile and select Profile Picture. So you should have a box with a Browse button that lets you upload a pic from your hard drive.

I had to take a screen shot of it to use it but ty for the suggestions
