SuezanneC Baskerville
I was still able to get AvPainter from the link on the laptop gadget inworld but I see now that it's not in the marketplace anymore. What happened?
Innula Zenovka
I checked, and his in-world shop at Adscita is gone, too, so maybe he's left. The website is still up, though, and has contact details.http://avpainter.osbyte.net/

Innula Zenovka
Thanks. It certainly wasn't there yesterday -- must have been a victim of all the Marketplace problems.

Patchouli Woollahra
Brief update for anyone who's still looking at this thread after all this time: The OSByte website is down as of 2023. However, Wayback Machine hosts a previous download page for the installer, including the free regkey. You will no longer need the inworld laptop to get a copy - in fact, the webserver scripts powering it no longer exist so it will simply throw up errors. Keep it only as a reminder that you really liked it as a concept. This is the latest accessible download page for AVPainter - follow instructions as listed on page to get a copy. Be aware this relies on very old code and will be completely out of touch with new advances in SL texturing like spec/gloss and PBR. However, it remains usable for generating masks that you can use as a basis to build those materials on. Also: the custom object loader chokes on denser OBJs, so you may be better off with painting in Blender or Substance Painter if those are accessible to you on custom models. It does support painting on sculpted prims one at a time though, so there's that. https://web.archive.org/web/20190721200138/http://avpainter.osbyte.net/
