SL will not open

I have downloaded the SL Viewer, but it will not open.  I have had an SL account for about 5 years now, but I can't use it.  I find the icon on my desk top and I click on it, but it will not open.  I have tried to access it through my start menu too, and nothing. Help?

 

I am running Windows Vista and have had SL on here before...I deleted it a few years ago and  just tried again to download it.  But it literally will not open.

 

The crash logger does appear as I am logging on...if that helps?

Lots of things could be wrong.  Care to elaborate a little so that maybe someone can offer more than that?

Hard to say without knowing what your computer is all about. When you say you can't open the SL viewer, does a message come up on your screen to give you a clue?

Edit by clicking on "options" in your post. Add more info please, system specs would be good.

As the others stated a bit more info would be helpful, but here some general things why it possibly could not work:

- Make sure to set your firewall rules and antivirus rules to the newly downloaded viewer .exe (new versions or updates appear often to be blocked again)
