Hi Bella

im afraid this is smth that cant be explained in a simple forum post lol.

type "photoshop tutorials" in google and you get tons of tutorials for learning photoshop. If you only begin using pshop, maybe try starting photoshop tutorials

play with every features in pshop, practice, again and again, Find some books about photoshop, work with them and again practice, practice and practice.

But if you never have used pshop before, start from the beguining. learn what every features is for and play with them.:smileyhappy:

That's really a Photoshop question, not a SL question.  The best thing to do is to take a trip to your closest bookstore and spend a half hour looking at all of the Photoshop manuals on the shelf.  There are dozens of them, so take your time finding one that fits your own learning style.  (That's also why you shouldn't do your shopping on line in this case. You really have to sit there and flip the pages.)  Photo editing is a huge topic, and Photoshop has a pile of tools for doing tricks.

BTW, Photoshop is now in CS6.  Most of the books you'll find are written for at least CS5.  The basic tools for photo editing haven't changed much over the past 3 generations, but the user interface looks a bit different.  If you can afford it, it's probably smart to upgrade to the current version.

As the above already stated that's a big question and can't be answered with one or two sentences.

- First of  you might want to learn the in's and out's of how to use Photoshop in general. Either go with the suggestion mentioned above. Getting some PS Manuals in form of books or simply browse the internet.

- In case you have a hard time finding something I dug you up some 'PS for beginners for your Version CS3:

http://www.ozzu.com/digitalart-tutorials/tutorial-adobe-photoshop-cs3-for-absolute-beginners-t85745.html

and

http://www.photoshopwebsite.com/photoshop-tutorials/50-basic-photoshop-tutorials-for-beginners/

(be aware to search always for this version, CS3 is already quite some years old and tutorials for newer versions and functionalities will not apply to your version)

- Once you learned the basics of Photoshop: a great site to get ideas from and very informative step-by-step tutorials is : http://psd.tutsplus.com/

Hope this helps you getting started. Cheers! Code
